Researching the Theatre Arts from a Cognitive Science and Neuroscientific perspective is on the increase. Several course in the Theatre Department fulfil a requirement in the IHE Artist as Humanist Pathway and can count in the NeuroArts pathway in the Neuroscience major. A multidisciplinary database containing full text journal, magazine & newspaper articles, many from peer-reviewed titles. This scholarly collection covers information in nearly every area of academic study.
JSTOR
An interdisciplinary journal archive. It includes archives of over one thousand leading academic journals across the humanities, social sciences, and sciences, as well as select monographs and other materials valuable for academic work. Includes the Artstor image collections.
MEDLINE (EBSCO)
Provides authoritative information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, pre-clinical sciences, and much more. Created by the National Library of Medicine, MEDLINE uses MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) indexing with tree, tree hierarchy, subheadings and explosion capabilities to search citations from current biomedical journals.
Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection
Provides coverage of full text journals, including many peer-reviewed titles. Covers topics such as emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry & psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational and experimental methods.
Psychology: OneFile
Find authoritative periodical content supporting research in all fields of psychology.
Psychology Database
Provides abstracts, indexing and some full-text, for psychology journals. Many titles are also indexed in PsycINFO. Coverage ranges from behavioral, clinical, cognitive, developmental, experimental, industrial and social psychology, along with personality, psychobiology and psychometrics.
PsycINFO
The American Psychological Association's (APA) resource for abstracts of scholarly journal articles, book chapters, books and dissertations is the largest resource devoted to peer-reviewed literature in behavioral science and mental health.
Sociology Database
Covers the international literature of sociology and social work, including culture and social structure, history and theory of sociology, social psychology, substance abuse and addiction and more.
PsycARTICLES
All content in this database is also included in PsycINFO which contains more comprehensive coverage of the psychology literature. PsycARTICLES contains the full text of journals published by the American Psychological Association. Coverage spans 1894 to present, and nearly all journals go back to Volume 1, Issue 1.
