SSI1-108 Empowering Technologies: Energy in the 21st Century

SSI Research at Collins Library

You can use this research guide to get started with your five minute speech assignment for Prof. Spivey's SSI course. As it states in your syllabus, the purposes of this assignment are as follows:

  • To give you practice looking for articles in magazines and newspapers;
  • To give you additional practice with public speaking;
  • To provide an opportunity for you to learn more about an aspect of electrical power generation that interests you.

You can use library resources such as our research databases to find an article on the topic that you would like to investigate and use the citation page to help you write your Chicago notes/bibliography style reference for the article that you find.
