Faculty may request materials for the library collection at any time by sending those requests via email or campus mail to the liaison librarian for the department/program. These requests should be guided by our Collection Development Policy. A request to add a journal subscription requires additional information because of the ongoing expense. To responsibly manage the collection budget and maintain equity across disciplines, librarians review new journal and database requests two times per year. Please contact your liaison librarian to start the new subscription request process.
New faculty in a tenure-track or clinician position may receive a one-time award of $1,000 with a limited expenditure timeframe. Check with your liaison librarian about this award if interested. These monies are provided to help address collection gaps in areas where you will be teaching. They can only be used for one-time purchases, not for subscriptions.
