Students will work in groups of 2 and 3 to write, produce and present a powerpoint presentation of approximately 10-15 minutes which will introduce key exhibitions to the class.

The presentation should do the following:

1. Provide a basic description of the exhibition (Place, Period, Curator, Institution)

2. Contextualize the exhibition (What were the curatorial aims? Was the exhibition responding to previous exhibitions or debates?)

3. Give the class a sense of the works exhibited (Select and assess key objects, the exhibition layout, and presentation style)

4. Provide an account of the critical reception of the exhibition (How did the popular and scholarly press respond to the exhibition’s aims and achievements?)
