If you have specific titles/resources you know you’d like to have available online, please submit the Faculty Request for Streaming Film Form and we will do the following:
This process can happen relatively quickly, but the library does need some time to work through these options, and it would be great to have resources in place as we approach each semester.
All streaming video collections are purchased or licensed content, limited to current authorized Puget Sound students, faculty, and staff. The collections on this page are provided by Collins Library. You may link to them in Canvas.
A note about stability: Some of our streaming services provide a changing selection of items. It is recommended that you check each semester to see whether the item you plan to use in class is still available. Items should be stable for the length of a semester.
A note about temporary licenses: In addition, some streaming licenses, such as those through Kanopy, are temporary and need to be renewed every one to three years. Please let your liaison librarian know if you plan to use a film licensed through Kanopy, so that the library can renew the license if necessary.
A collection of documentaries, feature films, and television shows on DVD are available on the lower level of the library. They are arranged by call number.
To search for DVDs, use Primo. Do a keyword search or use the following terms and limit the resource type to DVD Videos:
TIP: If you do an advanced search in Primo, you can limit material type to audio and video to retrieve streaming video, DVDs, and videocassettes. You can also borrow DVDs through Summit.
